Individual Project Papers should be word-processed in Microsoft Word Document, double spaced using 12 point (none bold) Times New Roman font, pages numbered, and structured in accordance with the APA format.
Final Project Instructions:
The final project is designed to measure your knowledge in eight specific areas of the juvenile justice system. It is a series of short essays (300 to 600 words) using text citations and APA format from readings in and outside the course to sustain your claims. At the end of each short essay include a reference list.
Your Final Project Paper is to be submitted in the following format or organization:
i. Cover Page to include the Course Title and Number, Your Name, Title of Final Paper, Professors Name, and Date
ii. Acknowledgment of own original work certification statement.

1. Define and explain the term juvenile delinquency
2. Identify some of the major causes of juvenile delinquency
3. Discuss the importance of the public school system relative to the detection and prevention of juvenile
4. Identify the problem areas that have an influence upon juvenile delinquency between peers, parents, and school
5. Explain the proceedings of the juvenile court system
6. Compare the advantages and disadvantages of juvenile incarceration
7. Describe juvenile rehabilitative programs
8. Discuss the relevance and dynamics of gangs as they relate to the detection and prevention of juvenile delinquency.
