A paper at least eight pages in length on a musical work or topic pertaining to the time periods or cultures studied in this semester. You may select a work from the repertoire list or elsewhere as your topic, or you may write on a broader historical topic. Your topic must receive approval by the professor according to the timeline indicated below. (Has been approved)

Your paper must present a clear thesis and a discussion of your chosen topic, backing up your statements with your research.

A detailed outline due on or before Wednesday, March 24 at 9:00am. (Subject headings do not constitute a detailed outline. Outlines must contain substantive information.)
