Using Microsoft Word, Publisher or similar software, create a pamphlet, brochure, or booklet that could be used to educate the public about the disorder.  (Think of something you might see in a doctor’s office.) The purpose is to help someone who thinks they may have the disorder, to encourage them to seek help, and to reduce possible stignma they may feel. To get full credit, the document must contain the following information:

A description/definition the disorder, taking into consideration the specific diagnostic criteria for the disorder specified in the DSM-5, if possible.  The DSM-5, is not available online in its entirety, but you may find the DSM diagnostic criteria for many of the disorders.  (15 points)
A discussion of some possible causes of the disorder, including physiological, genetic, social or psychological risk factors. (15 points)
A description of the prevalence of the disorder.  That is, how commonly does it occur? (10 points)
A description of common comorbidities.  That is, identify other disorders that often occur along with this disorder. (10 points)
A summary of effective treatment options. (15 points)
A list of resources (e.g., organizations, websites, crisis hotlines, or support groups) that might help a person with this disorder. (15 points)
A reference list that includes at least three reliable, scholarly sources from which you got your information. These sources may include the American Psychological Associations website, the National Institute of Mental Health, library databases, or many others.  Do not use articles from magazines (such as Newsweek, Time, Psychology Today), newspapers or non-academic websites.  Cite all references using APA format.  A good resource for APA format is found on our librarys website:  http://www.lonestar.edu/departments/libraries/nharrislibrary/APA_2010_final.pdf  or the APA website:  https://apastyle.apa.org/style-grammar-guidelines/references/examples .  You can also look at the reference page at the end of our online textbook (openstax.org) to see examples of APA formatting. (10 points)
Overall effectiveness, including neatness, good use of graphics, grammar, etc. (10 points)
