Adolescent psychology assessment 1

Note: The assessments in this course build upon each other, so you are strongly encouraged to complete them in sequence.

For this assessment, imagine you are applying for a job as a developmental psychologist in an educational, community, or government organization. As part of the application process, the hiring committee requires candidates to submit an essay articulating their personal theoretical frameworks for working with adolescents. Using your essay, the committee will assess your learning and experience, knowledge and analysis of the literature, and ability to write in a clear, succinct, and professional manner.

Research which theorists fall into the theoretical schools of thought to which you ascribe (behaviorist, constructivist, et cetera). Identify key readings and theoretical frameworks that inform your own framework.
